Department for Diversity Management and Intercultural Dialogue

Who We Are: We support, give advice, train and accompany organisations such as associations, companies, administrations, hospitals and schools concerning diversity – in Jena, Thuringia and throughout Germany.
What ‘Diversity Management’ Means: Diversity is reality. People differ from one another. At the same time many things unite us. This can be enriching, but also challenging. ‘Diversity management’ is one way to deal with diversity constructively and to appreciate it in everyday working life.
Our Mission: Shaping society to enable participation for everyone.
We Offer: Services individually tailored to the needs of your association:
- Intercultural Communication and Competence Development
- Team Building
- Multilingual Counselling and Easy Language (such as ‘Simple German’)
- Mentoring
- Participation and Education for Democratic Citizenship
- Self-Awareness Trainings
- Culture Sensitive Public Relations
- Strategic Opening Processes. For example: Mission Statement Development
If required, we also offer our services with language, sign language, or speech-to-text interpreter.
Our Services:
- Consulting: We offer reference-, expert- or process consulting. Via e-mail, telephone or face-to-face.
- Seminars: We offer seminars such as training courses, workshops, moderation, and discussion groups. If required, we work together with cooperating partners.
- Process Monitoring: Would you like to develop your association continuously and/ or make a fundamental change? We discover resources and uncover challenges in the areas of organisation, personnel, and users (target groups). In cooperation with your institution, we develop an action plan for your intercultural organisational development. You may also acquire the seal of approval „interculturally oriented institution“ with us.
